Plan to Peak

A Place to Start

Being new to the world of "disability" can be overwhelming.

It can look like there are many problems with few solutions.

You may find yourself asking, "Why isn't someone doing something about this?"

A lack of awareness and inclusion often comes more from not knowing where to start rather than maliciousness or intentional ignorance.

Today, we’re going to give you a place to start.

Our Practices

Incremental Gains

We do not expect people or organizations to change overnight. However, we do expect that through our training, expertise, and equipment there will be some degree of change. Our goal is to help you travel one step further down the path to inclusion.

Challenge By Choice

Participants set their own goals, and are free to adjust those goals at any time as they see fit. We are present to support their achieving those goals by offering encouragement and expertise, but never by pushing someone to involuntary start or continue an activity.

Your Journey

A successful mountaintop journey takes place in several steps.

First, you make a plan. Then, you head out on the path. And finally, you make it to the peak.

Trying to jump straight to end can end in disaster.

Not knowing how to reach a difficult goal can keep you from starting.

Break the journey down into smaller, attainable steps to make it possible.

Our workshops break down your journey toward full inclusion of people of diverse abilities in your workplace, programs, and activities into more manageable steps.

Awareness Workshop

is an introduction to the basics of how to interact appropriately with people with varying abilities. Here, we lay the groundwork for how to think and talk about disability, as well as how to interact with those living with those living with diverse abilities.

Inclusion Workshop

builds on the foundational content of the Awareness Workshop to teach you how to fully include people of all abilities in your workplace, programs and activities. We concentrate on creating person first programming through a deeper understanding of accessibility vs inclusion, experiential learning, and challenge by choice principles.

Adaptation Modules

help you learn the technical hard-skills necessary to include people of varying abilities in your programs. This workshop allows you to choose and combine our Adaptive Modules to create a highly customized, comprehensive learning plan.
